Oral Surgery Insurance FAQ

We don’t want worries about the cost of dental care to prevent you from getting the treatments you need. We hope to answer most of your dental insurance and financing questions here.
How Much is Dental Care Going to Cost?
Many factors affect the cost of dental care, including the procedure chosen, the difficulty or ease of the process, and your unique needs. Your oral surgery or dental work may be covered by dental insurance in many situations. We will check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage and determine your coverage limits.
Is My Treatment Covered Under Dental or Medical Insurance?
Most procedures are covered by dental insurance. Some oral surgeries or facial reconstruction procedures may be covered by medical insurance, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis by your insurance providers. Please contact our office, and our staff will be happy to help you determine which insurance is appropriate for your care program.

Can You Help Me Understand My Dental Insurance Policy?
At Winchester Oral Surgery Center, our staff is ready to assist you in understanding and using your dental insurance, maximizing your benefits, and minimizing any costs for you. Please feel free to contact us at Winchester Oral Surgery Center Phone Number 540-504-7300 to discuss your insurance policy coverages and limits.
In general, all dental insurance policies operate the same way. Your coverage is for the year, with coverage lapsing at the end of the year unless you renew your policy. Each year, your coverage starts again. This means if you have coverage you haven’t used during the year, it expires.
Use It or Lose It
If your insurance provides for a specific dollar amount of coverage and you don’t use it before the end of the calendar year, it is gone. If you aren’t sure about your remaining benefits, contact your insurance carrier to determine how much coverage is remaining. Flexible spending accounts work under a similar premise. Any funds you don’t use by the end of the year are lost and can’t be rolled over into the following year.
If you have additional questions about your dental insurance coverage and payment options, please contact our staff at Winchester Oral Surgery Center Phone Number 540-504-7300. They can guide you through the many options available to ensure you can get the dental treatment you need.
